
It all began in 1950, in an attic room in The Hague. There, in his parental home, Kick van Hulzen founded the first PR agency of the Netherlands. Armed with little more than a bakelite telephone, a typewriter, and a healthy dose of courage. He created Allerhande for Albert Heijn, offered strategic communication advice, and helped shape the foundation of modern PR in the Netherlands. Now, 75 years later, Van Hulzen has grown into a full-service communication agency. With a professional, enterprising, and dedicated team, we are proud of our rich history and optimistic about the future.
A festive and vibrant year
75 candles calls for a celebration! This special year, our office is buzzing with extra energy. The whole team goes out to have fun and share plenty of laughs together. We’re also expanding our knowledge through training sessions that challenge and inspire us. And yes, we’re raising our glasses a little more often than usual. We don’t just celebrate with our team, we share the joy with our community too. For example, we take elderly residents from Voorschoten on walks through our village, because we feel connected to that central place where it all happens.

Working smarter, safety first
We don’t like standing still. During our anniversary, we’re using the opportunity to streamline our processes. With the introduction of our new GRIPP system, we create even more space for what truly matters: communication that works. From advice to visibility.
Because we handle confidential information daily, we’re also making efforts for significant progress in that area. After obtaining an ISO 9001 certification, we are now aiming for the ISO 27001 certification for information security. This ensures that you can continue to trust us fully.

The future has a name: Kiki
This anniversary year, you’ll meet Kiki, our newest team member. She is an AI colleague developed by and for our team. Kiki helps us stay sharp in a rapidly changing field. She challenges us, sparks our creativity, and keeps us focused. Her name is no coincidence; it’s a tribute to our founder Kick while firmly rooting us in the future. Even after 75 years, we continue to reinvent ourselves.

In honor of this special anniversary, we organized a festive Summer Walk through the historic village center on July 17th, together with Zonnebloem Voorschoten. More than twenty elderly participants, volunteers from De Zonnebloem, and our colleagues shared stories from the past and present along the route. Historians Jan Sloof and Pieter Koree brought Voorschoten’s rich history to life, while councilor Hubert Schokker joined the walk.
Afterwards, we enjoyed coffee, cake, and pleasant conversations together at La Casita. For us, it was a meaningful moment of connection with the people from the village where we’ve been based since the 70s.
