Halo makes healthy behavior second nature

Arbo Unie promotes the vitality and health of working people, helping organizations become more successful. We have been supporting Arbo Unie in this mission for over 10 years. During this time, we have developed and managed content for various labels. Most recently, the Halo label was added to the portfolio.

About Halo

Halo is a new organization that helps employers and employees make healthy and vital behavior a natural part of every workplace. A healthy work environment leads to energetic, motivated, and empowered employees. This benefits not only the individuals but the entire company. For Halo, we further developed the corporate identity along with associated resources and tools.

Inspiration

Did you know there are places in the world where people live longer than average, and do so in a healthier and happier way? These areas are known as the Blue Zones, and they directly inspired the new Halo label. The life lessons from the Blue Zones form the foundation of the five pillars within the Halo program: meaning, connection, relaxation, exercise, and nutrition.

Naming and logo

Halo is literally a circle of light that appears around the sun or moon. It shines and puts you, as a person, at the center. The circle in the Halo logo also symbolizes connection with others. The name Halo is not only approachable and inviting, but also highly recognizable thanks to the orange circle in the logo. Throughout the entire Halo corporate identity, this circle serves as a recurring design element that perfectly embodies the meaning of the Halo brand.

Styleguide

A style guide has been developed to support the application of the new Halo corporate identity. Included is a comprehensive set of icons available in multiple styles: full-color, single-color, and outline-only versions. These icons are provided in various formats within the resource library for flexible use.

A set of pictograms has also been created: five representing the brand’s pillars and three illustrating the components of the Halo program. These pictograms appear in various diagrams and models, as well as on the website and in the app.

Halo app

Halo-habits is a training program that encourages action through an app and fosters long-term behavioral change. As part of the Halo corporate identity, Van Hulzen also contributed to the design of parts of the app and developed a unique Halo avatar to help the app stand out in various app stores.

Communications

To put the new label on the map, we developed a range of communication tools: stationery, email signatures, both animated and static stamps, a PowerPoint-template, Teams backgrounds, and a set of roll-up banners.
